At Arete Equestrian, we understand that every horse and rider is unique. That’s why we offer a variety of tailored dressage training packages designed to meet you where you are in your equestrian journey. Our primary goal is to develop a personalized program that suits your specific needs, whether it involves groundwork, flatwork, cavaletti exercises, or planning an enjoyable trail ride.

We provide both full-time and part-time training options, along with flexible a la carte sessions to fit your schedule. We are dedicated to helping you and your horse achieve your goals, ensuring a solid foundation in dressage techniques.

LESSONS WITH ARETE EQUESTRIAN

SINGLE PRIVATE LESSON

The single private lesson is for individuals who are not on a consistent lessons schedule with Teresa. Perfect for preparing for a show or event and need a tune-up lesson.

Whether you're refining your movements or tackling specific challenges, our tailored approach offers expert guidance and real-time feedback. Perfect for riders at any level, virtual lessons bring professional instruction to your schedule, helping you progress at your own pace.

weekly PRIVATE LESSON

The weekly private lesson rate is for two lessons a week. If riding twice a week or more in private lessons–if one of the weekly lessons is canceled (no matter the circumstances) students must pay the standard single lesson rate.

TRAINING WITH ARETE EQUESTRIAN

Includes lunging, riding, groundwork, or a combination of all 3. Teresa schedules horses for 45 minute sessions, but retains the right to either end the session early or extend past the scheduled time if deemed necessary. This applies to every training ride, whether the horse is in training 1 session a week, or 5.

$50 per session
Hand walk/groom session

Includes a thorough grooming and wellness check of the horse (including feeding of a warm “mash”/electrolyte tea if the weather is dropped below 0*) along with 15-30 minutes of walking in-hand. This can also be in place of a riding lesson if weather is deemed not appropriate for riding.

$50 per session

Come show with our crew! Our day fee for shows is $75/day and includes unlimited instruction for a horse/rider combination for the day. Grooming, braiding, and feeding/cleaning is billed separately and is available on a case-by-case basis.

CLINICS WITH ARETE EQUESTRIAN

Teresa is available to travel for clinics. All abilities and disciplines are welcome! Dressage is for any athlete. Clinic topics can include groundwork, liberty basics, dressage basics (classical or western), and horse/rider biomechanics. Can also include ride-a-test material (either USDF or WDAA) and tools to improve accuracy and scores at shows.
